Seeking to expand opportunities for the production of social knowledge on issues of particular importance to Latin America and the Caribbean, and to enhance the impact of the results in the political sphere
It aims to promote the production of critical knowledge on topics of particular social relevance to the region. It also seeks to foster dialogue among researchers, based on the conviction that such exchanges enrich the research process and its outcomes. Finally, it aims to strengthen the links between the social sciences and public policy by organizing exchange spaces between researchers and policymakers, and encouraging the formulation of policy and intervention proposals as part of the research findings. These objectives are achieved through research grant competitions, exchange seminars between researchers and policymakers, and the publication of policy briefs with proposed policies and interventions.
Main lines of action:
- Research grant competitions and calls for applications
- Organization of international seminars
- Publications with the results of the research
- Production of policy briefs with policy suggestions and social intervention actions
