State of rights, public policies and urban space
On September 16, within the framework of the “ Living Democracy 2026 ” Festival, the participatory table “State of rights, public policies and urban space” was held , an exchange space in which preliminary results of four investigations developed within the framework of the alliance between CLACSO and the Ombudsman of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires were presented.
During the meeting, results related to the following topics were shared and discussed: experiences of care and gender inequalities in drug use; work and the digital economy; work, labor protection and union experiences; and the right to housing and tenant issues.
Representing the Ombudsman's Office of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires were Pablo Gordon and Matías Virginillo, while Teresa Arteaga and Sofía Torres participated on behalf of CLACSO .
Also participating were members of the research teams: Ana Clara Camarotti, Martín Güelman, Daniel Eduardo Jones, Ana Laura Azparren, María Agustina Rossi Lashayas, Hernán Manuel Palermo Haber, Patricia Ventrici, Daniela Denise Krepki, Verónica Casas, Lissette Fuentes Lorca, Antonio Doval Borthagaray, Lautaro Clemenceau, Camila Testón, Tania Julieta Rodríguez, Lucía Bachoer, Daniela Andrea Maciel, Daniel Cieza, María Andrea Cuellar Camarena, Francina Cassino, María Mercedes Di Virgilio, Leandro Vera Belli, Denise Brikman, Carolina González Redondo, Florencia Aramburu and Mercedes Najman.
The activity allowed for the sharing of the main findings of the investigations and promoted a dialogue between the research teams, institutional representatives and participants of the Festival around the current challenges related to the exercise and guarantee of rights in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
