Agenda of activities of the member centers of the CLACSO Network
As part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the civic-military coup in Argentina (1976-2026), some member centers that make up the CLACSO network promote and carry out an extensive commemorative program throughout the month of March.
The following activities, events, and exhibitions will take place throughout the Month of Remembrance at various academic and cultural institutions across the country. The objective of this joint agenda is to create spaces for reflection on our recent past, to honor the victims and those who tirelessly fight for human rights, and to continue collectively building memory, truth, and justice.
March 12.
- Sample "Write me what you know how to write"
- Organized by: Research Secretariat (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UBA).
- Location: Paco Urondo University Cultural Center, Av. 25 de mayo 217, CABA (In-person).
- Detail: A poignant exploration of letters from mothers to children during the last military dictatorship, recovered from the National Library archive. It offers an intimate encounter with words and a space for collective writing.

March 17.
- Academic conference "Let memory illuminate"
- Organized by: FLACSO Argentina.
- Location: FLACSO Argentina Auditorium, Tucumán 1966, CABA (In-person).
- Detail: From 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., there will be thematic panels with specialists, special guests, and the participation of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo.
- Workshop "Handkerchiefs Will Bloom"
- Organized by: FLACSO Argentina.
- Location: FLACSO Argentina, Tucumán 1966, CABA (In-person).
- Detail: Creative activity to make a scarf as a symbol of the fight for Remembrance. Led by artist Jimena Tello from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

March 18.
- Exhibition "Notes on barbarity. Political and collective memories"
- Organized by: Secretariat of Science, Art and Technology, Provincial University of Córdoba (UPC).
- Location: Farina Room, UPC, Córdoba (In-person).
- Detail: An exhibition featuring works from the Adolfo Sequeira collection will be accompanied by workshops, audiovisual screenings, and the art and memory circuit at the City of Arts.

March 19.
- National Days of Reflection and Debate: "Half a Century Later"
- Organized by: Research group Literature, politics and change (Faculty of Humanities, UNMdP).

- Detail: Discussion sessions and film screenings on literature, artistic practices, politics and memories.
- Presentation of the catalog "Papers of Memory"

- Detail: Launch of the catalogue of watercolors made by Alejandro Deutsch during his detention in UP1 of Córdoba (1976-1979).

- Conversation «Declassified Words: Archive 1976-2026»
- Organized by: Research Secretariat (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UBA).

- Detail: Writers, researchers, and artists develop a vocabulary about the years of the dictatorship, closing with a set of live protest songs.

- Performative reading «RJW / The mythical letter»

- Detail: Reading of Rodolfo Walsh's Open Letter from a Writer to the Military Junta, under the direction of Marcelo Delgado, combined with musical echoes.
March 23.
- Vigil for Identity in Plaza de Mayo
- Location: Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires, Argentina
- Detail: On the eve of the National Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice, the organization La Garganta Poderosa is calling for a Vigil for Identity in Plaza de Mayo, with the aim of sustaining and strengthening collective memory 50 years after the civic-military coup of 1976.
The day proposes a space for meeting, reflection and collective expression through talks, live music and testimonies, reaffirming the commitment to memory, truth and justice, and upholding the historical slogan of the 30.000 disappeared detainees.
The activity is supported by human rights organizations and social organizations, including CLACSO, Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, HIJOS, SERPAJ, CELS, Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, Heinrich Böll Stiftung and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, among other institutions.
The initiative seeks to keep the memory alive and reaffirm the collective commitment to the struggles for human rights in Argentina and the region.

- Detail: The exhibition rescues from oblivion the books banned by state terrorism to rediscover what they allowed us to dream about.
- "Correlatos | Music and Literature" Show
