El Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), Council for the Development of Social Sciences in Africa (CODESRIA), and the International Association for Development Economics (IDEAs), are pleased to announce –within the framework of the third triennium of the Academic Cooperation Program between Latin America/Africa/Asia– the call for participation in the Eighth South-South School about “INEQUALITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE: PERSPECTIVES FROM THE GLOBAL SOUTH”The School will take place in Durban, South Africa, from September 11 to 18, 2015.
Young people residing in countries of the Global South who are actively pursuing academic careers and hold a university degree, preferably a master's degree in one of the social sciences or humanities, are eligible to apply to participate in the South-South School. Applicants must have demonstrable working knowledge of English. A total of thirty (30) people will be selected to participate in the School, ten (10) from each of the three continents: Africa, Latin America, and Asia. All expenses for the selected applicants will be fully covered, including airfare (economy class), accommodation, and meals.
