CELARG Announces Winner of the International Essay Contest “Sovereignty, Imperialism, and Critical Thought” Asdrúbal Jesús Alamilla González, from Carabobo, Venezuela, is the winner of the International Essay Contest “Sovereignty, Imperialism, and Critical Thought,” organized by CELARG, Casa de las Américas of Cuba, and the Network of Intellectuals, Artists, and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity (REDH). His work, “Decolonizing Sovereignty: The Commune, Trench of Life and Care,” was unanimously selected by the jury—comprised of Ximena González Broquen, Humberto González Silva, and Fernando Luis Rojas López—from among 51 essays submitted from 14 countries.
