The seminar unfolds across five consecutive sessions. In this first meeting, participants are introduced to the study of the humanities and arts in Latin America from the perspective of Latin American philosophy, a decolonial epistemology, and a politics of liberation. The activity's fundamental purpose is for researchers to understand the ontological, epistemological, methodological, and ethical-political commitments undertaken when conducting studies in the fields of humanities and arts. During this session, Topic 1: The Humanities, a Theoretical-Conceptual Approach, will be addressed, laying the critical groundwork for individual research projects. This seminar will be led by Professor Gregorio Valera.
