The International Forum will take place “The Donroe Doctrine, global spaces and specific zones of intense accumulation and intense social conflict in the American continent”, an academic debate space focused on analyzing the contemporary dynamics of global capitalism and its impacts on America.
The meeting aims to reflect on the relevance of the Donroe Doctrine in the current context, as well as on how territories of intensive accumulation and scenarios of social conflict are configured in the region. Within this framework, issues related to geopolitics, resource disputes, structural inequalities, and social resistance will be addressed.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, combining in-person sessions in the city of Mérida with virtual presentations. Presentations marked with an asterisk (*) in the program will be streamed via the following link: https://meet.jit.si/SEMINARIOPEMANENTE
The forum brings together researchers and social actors interested in the critical analysis of the economic, political and social processes that Latin America and the Caribbean are experiencing in the contemporary global scenario.
