Open Call | 59th International Congress of Americanists (ICA 2027)

The call for applications to participate in the 59th International Congress of Americanists (ICA 2027), which will take place in the city of Medellín, Colombia.

under the motto “Tradition and innovation: the memories of the Americas”The congress calls for the presentation of symposia, round tables and individual presentations around multiple areas of knowledge linked to the study of the Americas, including social sciences, humanities, cultural studies, migration, gender, social movements, human rights and the environment.

The ICA, which has been held since 1875, is one of the main spaces for academic meetings at the international level, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and the collective construction of knowledge about the region.

The call is aimed at researchers, teachers, students and professionals interested in discussing the contemporary challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean in relation to their historical processes and current transformations.
