🗓️ July 30, 2026 | Virtual format
🕒 13:00 PM (Mexico City)
🕒 16:00 PM (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay)
A conversation with Doctors Julieta Paula Mellano and Cecilia Gárgano about the contemporary agrarian world in the face of exploitative capitalism. Mellano researches critical agrarian studies, the history of rural resistance in Latin America, and the impact of megaprojects on communities.
Peasant women analyze how dispossession fuels the defense of the land. Meanwhile, Gárgano studies the consolidation of agribusiness and the "green desert" in Argentina, focusing on the advance of genetically modified soy and pesticides, as well as the commodification of science. The dialogue between these two perspectives seeks to delve deeper into current rural issues.
