Workshop The Kitchen of Research II: Feminist Resistance and Neoconservative Offensive in Brazil and Argentina
July 8 - 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CMT

📅 Wednesday, July 8, 2026
🕛 12:00 h (Argentina)
💻 Virtual modality (Zoom)
In this activity, we aim to uncover the processes behind our research in order to reflect on the current challenges facing feminism in the face of the advance of anti-rights and anti-feminist discourses and policies from contemporary right-wing movements. We will work on a variety of topics, attempting to put reflexivity into practice.
We will address gender-based political violence on social media, political construction and emotions in feminisms, such as the Plurinational Meetings of Women and Dissidents, the diverse articulations and the #EleNão movement, attacks on sexual and reproductive rights, human rights, the memories of dictatorships and feminisms, and violence against forms of political and social organization, among others.
Some questions that will guide the workshop are:
-What topics are we researching and in what spaces?
-What is the political and social context of each of the countries in relation to this issue?
-What methodological approaches and corpus are we using?
-What theoretical perspectives and/or authors are useful for this research?
-In what personal and emotional ways are we involved in the topics and approaches of the research?
