Even its Mediterranean location cannot separate Paraguay from its geographical context, just as the reality of Latin America and the Caribbean cannot be understood outside of its historical context. We live in times marked by inter-hegemonic struggle, the acceleration of geopolitical transition, the mutation of forms of intervention, the withdrawal of the United States, and the proliferation of armed conflicts.
We will address these issues with specialists from the country and the region, offering both academics and non-academics historical and conceptual tools to understand current geopolitical events and to try to outline some of the developing trends.
