Plots and Networks Magazine It is a semi-annual (June-December) open-access digital scientific journal published by CLACSO. Its purpose is to disseminate academic production in the field of social sciences and humanities and reflections on debates about the political and intellectual processes of Latin America and the Caribbean.

We are NETWORKS that, like threads in a tapestry, link academic production with the processes of struggle and transformation that seek a more just society for Latin America and the Caribbean. And we are NETWORKS because we promote the exchange of studies on different topics approached from diverse perspectives to maintain an ongoing debate about the numerous threats and complex problems that beset our societies. These NETWORKS and NETWORKS create the conditions for dialogue among academics, policymakers, and actors in social movements and processes, to build alternative horizons.

The journal publishes original and unpublished articles in Spanish and Portuguese, both official languages ​​of CLACSO. The academic texts to be published will include: essay-style articles, articles presenting empirical research results, and state-of-the-art reviews on a research topic.

Each number will have a Editorial (non-peer-reviewed) intended for the presentation of the issue, reflection on one or more of the articles contained in the issue of the journal, or on some current topic; a dossier Thematic section coordinated by leading figures who will invite contributions, a section in which they will be published articles received via open and permanent call that are within the priority lines of work of CLACSO and book reviewsAll these texts will undergo external peer review using a double-blind system. In addition, the journal may include a section on interviews to references on some central theme of the academic and social agenda, and a section files This section will feature key documents from the region's history, accompanied by articles from specialists in the field addressing the material. The texts and contributions included in these last two sections (Interview and Archives) are reviewed by the journal's Editorial Board and Management Committee.

The journal's editorial line will prioritize studies on inequalities, injustices, and violence; racism and ethnic discrimination; migration processes and human mobility; feminisms and care politics; the rights to education, health, and the city; the rights of children, youth, and the elderly; citizen participation and mobilization; democracy, the state, public policies, and social movements; the global environmental crisis; science, technology, and society; human rights, peace processes, and recent memory; geopolitical processes and South-South or Global South cooperation; and the capitalist/economic crisis, development, and popular alternatives. In addition, the journal will publish articles on Latin American and Caribbean social issues, but will also be open to topics from other regions, thereby promoting the development of a comparative perspective on the issues it covers.
