This work is the result of significant collaboration with the Institute of Contemporary Chinese Studies and a co-publication between CLACSO and Contemporary China Publishing House, as part of partnerships with China and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. This work covers seventy years of the People's Republic of China's history, from its founding in 1949 to the celebration of its 70th anniversary on October 1, 2019, and addresses decades of progress and development for the Chinese people. It analyzes the country's contributions to other developing nations, offering a different model of modernization and various forms of international cooperation, with the aim of providing a guide for readers who wish to learn more about contemporary China.
