The new “CLACSO Classroom” Platform

The Latin American Council of Social Sciences launches CLACSO Classroom, a self-administered training platform, structured around various programs in which participants can access high-quality classes with leading figures from Latin America and the Caribbean who address major social issues from a critical perspective.
In presenting this new venture, Karina BatthyányThe Executive Director of CLACSO explained that “The training proposal allows you to access classes whenever and wherever you want. That is why we say that Aula CLACSO allows for self-directed learning, at your own pace and available whenever you need it.”
He added: “This initiative complements CLACSO’s existing academic training offerings, expanding training opportunities for the entire community and incorporating a new training modality within the range of proposals we have been offering until now… We hope and expect to reach beyond a specialized audience and transform Aula CLACSO into a training space for a broader public.”
"CLACSO Classroom seeks to innovate the ways in which teaching and learning take place"

They also participated in the launch Magdalena Rauch y Alejandro Gambina, CLACSO Training Coordinators.
Magdalena Rauch emphasized that “Knowledge in the social sciences must be democratized” and stressed that “Aula CLACSO is a collective work with publications of classes prepared, selected and developed from Latin American perspectives.”
Coincidentally, Alejandro Gambina added that "It is necessary for the social sciences to continue producing quality materials for academia but also for wider audiences." For that, “The CLACSO classroom will have specific content with pedagogical proposals to build new ways of thinking about what a class is.” And he concluded: “The Latin American and Caribbean perspective is a hallmark of CLACSO that will be maintained in this new training project.”
In the CLACSO Classroom, you can access a variety of programs, comprised of classes covering diverse topics and structures, featuring leading experts from Latin America and the Caribbean who address key issues in the social sciences from a critical perspective. You can explore the content independently and at your own pace, according to your interests. In addition to the classes, you will find suggested further reading, questions to encourage further reflection, discussion forums, and activities to put your newly acquired knowledge into practice.
Aula CLACSO offers three subscription plans: a Free plan, a Monthly plan, and an Annual plan; the rates are detailed in the section “Plans".
To view the content, you must log in from a personal computer or any device with an internet connection, such as smartphones, tablets, or media players.
