Judith Naidorf

Judith Naidorf holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. She is a Principal Investigator at CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council) at the IICE-UBA (Institute of Educational Research of the University of Buenos Aires) and a Professor in the Educational Sciences Department at the same university. She trained at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and has lectured and taught courses in various countries. She directs research projects on science policy and higher education in Latin America and has published over one hundred works on these topics. She has supervised ten doctoral dissertations, twenty postgraduate scholarships, and has advised unions in the fight against the privatization of knowledge and in the promotion of critical pedagogies.

Matías Alcántara

Matías Alcántara is a sociologist and university researcher-professor specializing in Social Studies of Science and Technology. He trained at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and currently teaches at UBA and the University of Belgrano in areas related to the sociology of science (and evaluation) and social science research methodology. His career combines academic research on the links between science, politics, and society with active participation in critical scientific evaluation initiatives, as part of the FOLEC-CLACSO coordination team. He also works as an institutional evaluation specialist at the Undersecretariat of Science and Technology of Argentina. His experience also includes work in the self-managed publishing sector, connecting academic knowledge with social and grassroots movements.

Luna Gonzalez

Luna González is a professor of Educational Sciences at the National University of La Plata. Since 2021, she has worked as a research assistant at the Latin American Forum for Scientific Evaluation (FOLEC) of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and is part of the working group of the Latin American System for University Evaluation (SILEU) at the same institution.

Ismael Rafols Garcia

Ismael Rafols is a senior researcher at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV, Polytechnic University of Valencia) and holds the UNESCO Chair in Diversity and Inclusion in Global Science at CWTS. He studies evaluation, foresight, and research strategies in science and technology. Currently, he focuses on inequalities in defining research priorities, particularly to address societal challenges such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Rodrigo Costas Comesana

Rodrigo Costas is a senior researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University (Netherlands). He is also an Extraordinary Associate Professor at the Centre for Research in Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) ​​at Stellenbosch University (South Africa). He holds a PhD in Library and Information Science from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). His areas of expertise include information science, scientometrics, and social network metrics. At CWTS, he leads the altmetrics research line, which focuses on developing new theoretical and analytical approaches to study the interactions between social networks and science. Other research topics include developing advanced scientometric studies of individual academics and studying funding acknowledgments as a new source of scientometric data. In addition to his research activities, Rodrigo participates in various European research projects and on a contract basis.

Jonathan Dudek

Jonathan Dudek is a junior research fellow at CWTS. He earned a Master of Science in Communication from the University of Amsterdam in August 2020 and worked as a research assistant at CWTS during his studies. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Culture, and Management from Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen, Germany. At CWTS, Jonathan works on various research projects, including researcher mobility, research funding, and online scientific communication. As part of this work, he contributes to contract research projects. He focuses on quantitative analysis, typically working with publication metadata. Jonathan also coordinates the CWTS External Communications Team.

Carole de Bordes

Carole de Bordes is a researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University, the Netherlands. She recently graduated with a master's degree in International Development Studies from Wageningen University, specializing in Environmental Social Sciences. She is passionate about science, network analysis, and social impact. To obtain her degree, she successfully combined her studies with a research internship at Solidaridad, working on several projects related to sustainable development strategies.

Bernardo Rondelli

Bernardo is a founding partner of SIRIS Academic, with over a decade of experience in international research and academic leadership. He has held academic positions in the field of Digital Humanities at the University of Milan-Bicocca, the University of Barcelona, ​​and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). He has led numerous strategic consulting and policy analysis projects in more than ten countries, collaborating with universities, research institutes, governments, public agencies, and philanthropic organizations. His areas of expertise include research and innovation policy, research funding instruments, open science, and open data governance. In 2023, he founded the SIRIS Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting evidence-based policy and open science, where he currently serves as president.

Nicandro Bovenzi

Nicandro is a senior data scientist and researcher specializing in research and innovation at SIRIS Academic. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Leiden University. His work focuses on providing evidence-based support for the design, implementation, and evaluation of research and innovation (R&D) strategies and policies. His main contributions center on the design and implementation of scientometric analyses, comparative and benchmarking studies, the analysis of scientific and policy documents using text mining techniques (theme modeling, automatic text classification, controlled vocabularies), and the design of data-driven tools (including information systems and business intelligence dashboards).

Jeroen van Honk

Jeroen is an analyst and researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University. He has a background in computer science, linguistics, book studies, and digital media. At CWTS, he works on bibliometric analysis, with a focus on author disambiguation and funding acknowledgments data. He is also part of the MetaROR team, where he provides technical and editorial support. In addition, he undertakes freelance work and is a member of the institute's external communications team.

Nicolau Duran

Nicolau Duran-Silva is a researcher and data scientist at SIRIS Academic. He holds a degree in Computer Science, a Master's degree in Language Technologies, and is currently pursuing an industrial PhD in Natural Language Processing at Pompeu Fabra University. At SIRIS, he coordinates research activities in the SIRIS Lab, an interdisciplinary space focused on open science, research mapping, researcher behavior, Master of Science (LLM) programs, and scholarly document processing. His work supports evidence-based policymaking through data-driven analysis of higher education and research systems. His research interests include information extraction, thematic classification, entity recognition, and content simplification in scholarly texts.
