Meeting with President Bernardo Arévalo

“Seventy years after the overthrow of Árbenz” and referring to the “possibilities of a second spring in Guatemala,” the president Bernardo Arevalo de Leon He received a delegation of participants to the International Colloquium “Social Sciences and Violence in Central America: Between Sieges and Resistances”, among them Pablo VommaroAcademic Secretary of CLACSO.

In that context, he held a dialogue with Carlos Figueroa Ibarra, sociologist, professor and researcher at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico and specialist in studies of political processes and violence in Guatemala in conjunction with political processes in Mexico.
