Dialogues on feminist foreign policy
How can a feminist perspective be incorporated into the international arena, specifically from a Global South perspective? How can power structures be challenged in this field to confront the logic of domination that produces gender and social inequalities? These questions guided the “Dialogues on feminist foreign policy. The future of equality”, a meeting at the CLACSO headquarters on Wednesday, December 18, organized by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, Feminists Without Borders, IESCODE-UNPAZ, Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative and UN Women.

The “Pact for the Future”, adopted by the UN General Assembly in September 2024, proposes 54 actions to address global challenges based on five priority areas: sustainable development and development financing, international peace and security, science, technology, innovation and digital cooperation, youth and future generations, and the transformation of global governance.
It is within this framework and with the objective of making a contribution to the debate and implementation of the agreements framed in the Pact for the Future from a feminist perspective of the Global South, through the promotion and strengthening of the participation and representation of women in the different discussion forums and in the different processes and instances of decision-making, that these Dialogues on Feminist Foreign Policy are carried out from the perspective of feminist epistemology and diplomacy with a human rights approach.
