International Pride Day 2026
Every June 28th, International LGBTIQ+ Pride Day is celebrated to advocate for the rights of this community and fight against discrimination and violence against it.
On June 28, 1969, the Stonewall riots erupted, a series of demonstrations in response to a violent police raid on the Stonewall Inn bar in New York, which marked a milestone in the collective liberation movement.
Even in 2026, sexual and gender diversity continues to be persecuted and criminalized in many countries in Latin America and around the world. Reclaiming our right to live in freedom and our pride in being who we are, with equality, is an urgent necessity.
