Special program on Haiti

Haiti suffer a humanitarian crisis and violence which has been escalating steadily since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021. Gangs control much of the capital, Port-au-Prince, and other locations across the country, and Prime Minister Ariel Henry was forced to resign after announcing the creation of a Transition Council whose mission is to choose an interim prime minister and create the conditions for holding free elections.
