Crossroads that sustain life: Climate, care and environmental justice in Our America

From August 31 to September 2, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) hosted the International Forum “ Climate and Care ,” promoted by CLACSO, UNAM, and the “Climate and Care Initiative” coordinated by the “Avina Foundation.” It addressed the intersection between the climate crisis and the care crisis from a feminist, territorial, and rights-based perspective.
As a closing event, the “ Climate and Care Meeting: Experiences from the Global South ” was held , an activity promoted by CLACSO, “Trenzando Cuidados” and the “Global Alliance for Care” with the support of the “International Development Research Centre of Canada” (IDRC) and UNAM, with the participation of the “Climate and Care Initiative” coordinated by “Fundación Avina”.

The program for Wednesday, September 16, covers two of the axes of the Platforms for Social Dialogue that CLACSO is promoting for the coming years: “Just Transitions and Disputed Sovereignties: Towards Sustainable and Inclusive Futures from the Global South” and “Feminist Thought and Action: Transformations for the Sustainability of Life, Justice and Peace”
