The VIII International Conference of Young Researchers in Spiritualities and Religions constitutes a space for meeting and academic exchange aimed at young researchers, master's and doctoral students, and people who are beginning their academic career, with the purpose of reflecting on spiritualities, religions and the production of knowledge situated in Latin America from interdisciplinary and critical perspectives.
Under the motto “Feelings and religious epistemologies in Latin America” , the conference will promote dialogue around the multiple relationships between religion, society, territory, culture and politics, addressing issues related to emotions and religion, religious syncretisms, indigenous cosmologies and rituals, popular religiosity, alternative spiritualities, religious pluralism, the relationship between State and religion, the history of religions and other related topics from various disciplines of the social sciences and humanities.
The meeting will combine in-person and virtual activities, encouraging the participation of researchers from different countries and the building of academic networks around studies on religions and spiritualities in the region.
