Winners of the "Tales of a January" Poster Competition
The jury, responsible for the conceptual, historical and aesthetic evaluation of the visual proposals, agreed to recognize the following artists:
Victor Rodriguez with the work entitled "January 3. Intervention, Kidnapping, Terrorism";
Alejandro Calzadilla, with the work "Thinking Tanks/Thinkers in Tanks"
Iván Lira, with the work "No way!"
Kael Abello with the work "Story of a January"
Vladimir Pérez (Rancho) with the work «03/01/26 Venezuela» and
José Rafael Parra (Musiú) with the work "The monster of war has struck again."
The call for entries, which closed on April 30, 2026, allowed the participation of creators of any nationality and residence with original and unpublished works that reflect their visual stance on the US military offensive against the people of Venezuela and the kidnapping of the presidential couple during the early morning of January 3 in Caracas.
The committee used the following criteria to select the works:
-Thematic relevance and fidelity to historical memory
-Compositional strength of the graphic language and typographic originality
-Preservation of visual identity against anachronism, ensuring the ability of the pieces to faithfully depict the events addressed.
The evaluation committee for the Global Call for the poster "Tales of a January" was made up of the anthropologist, specialist in historical research and documentary filmmaker Christiane Valles, the social communicator Natalia García and the journalist and institutional representative Taynem Hernández.
