October 28 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CMT
The Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CELARG) invites the academic community, students, and the general public to participate in the conference "The Robinsonian Concrete Utopia," presented by Jorge Arreaza, Rector of the National University of the Communes. This event is designed to delve into the ideals of emancipation, education, and sovereignty championed by Simón Rodríguez, examining his integrative and original vision not only as a historical reference point for the struggles for independence, but also as a living and fully achievable project, capable of offering methodological and ethical keys for critical thinking, creative work, cultural sovereignty, and the social construction of contemporary Latin America and the Caribbean. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 10:00 am, Exhibition Hall, CELARG, Altamira. We look forward to seeing you there!
