II National Conference on Foreign Policy and International Integration of Brazil
The Federal University of ABC (UFABC) will host the II National Conference on Foreign Policy and International Insertion of Brazil, which will take place from June 8 to 10, 2026 under the motto "Sovereignty, Development and Cooperation: Dialogues for a new Foreign Policy".
The meeting will bring together academics, government representatives, public policy officials, civil society organizations and international specialists to discuss the challenges of Brazil's international integration in the current global context.
The Conference is organized by the Observatory of Foreign Policy and International Insertion of Brazil (OPEB), the Postgraduate Programs in International Relations of UFABC and UNIFESP, the Perseu Abramo Foundation (FPA) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES).
Among the main topics of discussion are multilateralism, relations with the BRICS, South-South cooperation, the climate emergency, relations between Brazil and the major powers, as well as the challenges for building a more participatory foreign policy.
The event will feature the participation of prominent international figures, including Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO, along with specialists from Latin America, China, South Africa and the United States.
The activities include conferences, panel discussions, academic seminars, and training spaces geared towards graduate students and teachers.
