La Network of Latin American Studies and Chicano-Iberian Culture (RELACI) will perform RELACI 2026 International Research Seminar: “Integration, society, culture and geopolitics from a Latin American perspective”, the days 25 and 26 of June of 2026 at the University of Colima, Mexico.
The meeting will bring together researchers, professors, graduate students, and specialists from various countries to discuss the main contemporary challenges facing Latin America from an interdisciplinary perspective. Over two days, the program will include keynote lectures, roundtables, thematic panels, doctoral colloquia, and book presentations.
The topics of discussion include geopolitics and regional geoeconomics, public policies and power relations, migration processes and human rights, economic integration, social and gender inequalities, sustainability for regional development, and the academic challenges of interdisciplinary research in Latin America.
The opening panel will include Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO.
The seminar is organized by RELATED with the participation of academics from universities and research institutions in Latin America, Europe and the United States.
The CLACSO Working Groups on Migration and South-South Borders and on Borders, Regionalization and Globalization are participating.
