About the event
The First National Meeting of CLACSO Working Groups in Costa Rica represents an opportunity to meet, share and collectively build the CLACSO Costa Rica agenda for the period 2026-2028.
Under the theme "Democracies in Dispute in Latin America" , the activity brings together 44 Working Groups and 10 Member Centers of CLACSO in Costa Rica , with the aim of fostering dialogue, academic articulation and collaboration.
The meeting seeks to connect, share, propose and articulate , generating a space for collective reflection on the current dynamics and challenges of the region, as well as to define the strategic axes of CLACSO's national agenda for the coming years and strengthen networking among the participating institutions.

The activity has the support and convening of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) , the University of Costa Rica , the Faculty of Social Sciences , the National University and the State Distance University and its Institute of Gender Studies.
