Online course: An introduction to historical research. Historical methodology for non-professional historians

Those who participate in this course will learn the fundamentals of the historical discipline, learn how to develop a research project, and search for and analyze historical sources to develop it.
The participant:
– You will understand, in broad terms, the craft of history writing and some of the main perspectives and methods that currently exist in the discipline.
– You will learn about the diverse testimonies that historians use in their work and the repositories where they can be found. You will explore digital resources and be invited to consult archives.
– He will undertake a research project and begin developing it.
– You will learn to search for, classify, analyze, and use historical sources in your research.
– You will conduct a brief investigation of a historical topic that interests you and that is related to the discipline you practice or are training in, and you will present the results of this investigation.
