El Study Group on Structuralism and Poststructuralism of the Gino Germani Research Institute (University of Buenos Aires) Call for the submission of abstracts to participate in the Second Earth Congress: Ecology, Society, Politics, which will be held on the days November 26 and 27, 2026 in the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires, in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Congress is conceived as an interdisciplinary space for encounter and debate on the relationships between ecology, society, and politics in the face of the contemporary socio-environmental crisis. This second edition seeks to deepen the dialogue among researchers, professors, students, artists, activists, and social organizations, promoting the development of shared diagnoses and agendas for public intervention in response to current environmental, technological, and geopolitical challenges.
The call for applications is organized in eight thematic axes These topics include, among others, the Anthropocene and the civilizational crisis; representations of nature; biodiversity and territories; conflicts and socio-environmental justice; ecofeminisms and social movements; extractivism; science, technology, and artificial intelligence; and new urbanisms and ruralisms. In total, the Congress will feature 52 work tables in face-to-face and virtual modalities.
The abstracts should have a maximum length of 200 words and include the title of the work, the names of the authors, their institutional affiliation, and email address. The proposals will be evaluated by the coordinators of each panel.
