In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the genocidal coup of 1976, the IEF joins the actions and activities undertaken by grassroots organizations to keep collective memory alive. With this series of talks on the Adriana Calvo Virtual Campus, we aim to delve into the structural implications of the last genocidal dictatorship through activities that go beyond simply commemorating past events. Instead, we seek to understand the dictatorship as a structural reconfiguration of Argentina's economic, productive, social, and cultural matrix, and its continuities in the present. The challenge, then, is to produce an Active Memory, understood as a practice that does not reduce the past to a static object of study, but rather comprehends it as a force operating in the present and functioning as a political tool for social intervention. Course format: The series will consist of one synchronous talk per month; Each session will address a specific topic, as detailed below: Corporate responsibility for crimes against humanity during the last dictatorship, with the special participation of Victoria Basualdo, Historian and Researcher at CONICET, CEDIEP-UNQ and IIEGE-UBA, and Ana Oberlin, PhD in Law and Social Sciences, lawyer specializing in Human Rights, Gender and Criminal Law. Date and time: Thursday, April 16, 6:00 PM. The dictatorial project, with the special participation of Marina Franco. Date and time: Thursday, May 21, 6:00 PM. Neoliberalism in Argentina and Latin America, with the special participation of José Seoane. Date and time: June (day and time to be confirmed). START: Thursday, April 16, 6:00 PM.
