The Institute of Social Sciences of Paraguay (ICSO), in partnership with the LATAMPP Network, is organizing the course “Gender Theory, State and Public Management. A necessary intersection”, a space for training and reflection aimed at deepening the contributions of gender theory to the analysis of the State, democracy and contemporary public policies in Paraguay and Latin America.

The proposal aims to provide conceptual and practical tools for understanding gender inequalities and their relationship to institutions, public policies, and state management processes. Over four virtual sessions, participants will explore different theoretical approaches to gender, public policy experiences in Latin America, and strategies for mainstreaming a gender perspective across the various stages of the public policy cycle.

The course will be taught by Gabriela Schvartzman, a political scientist from the Catholic University "Our Lady of the Assumption" (UCA), specializing in gender, democracy and public policy.
