XXVIII Ordinary General Assembly of CLACSO
The event began on Saturday, June 7th. XXVIII Ordinary General Assembly of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, with the presentation of the Activity Report by the Executive Director of CLACSO, Karina Batthyány.
Professor Leopoldo Múnera, Rector of the National University of Colombia, welcomed the assembly members. Carolina Jiménez, a member of the CLACSO Steering Committee and Vice-Rector of the National University of Colombia's Bogotá campus, presided over the session.
The day on Sunday the 8th concluded with the vote for the CLACSO Executive Directorate, which resulted in the victory of Pablo Vommaro for the period from July 1, 2025 to June 2028.
Earlier, on Friday, June 6, the 112th Meeting of the CLACSO Steering Committee which finalized the activities of both the Ordinary Assembly and the X Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences, from June 9 to 12 in Bogotá.
