XIX International Congress on Regional Integration, Borders and Globalization in the Americas

XIX International Congress on Regional Integration, Borders and Globalization in the Americas

November 6-10 | Hybrid format | La Rioja, Argentina
National University of Chilecito (UNdeC)

Since 1997, and every two years, the International Congress on Regional Integration, Borders and Globalization in the American Continent. This congress arose from the need to analyze and create spaces for critical and academic reflection on the processes of globalization and their diverse regional and border manifestations in different regions and territories of the Americas. The group has made progress in deepening the analysis of global dynamics from the perspective of the philosophy of praxis, and in addressing certain aspects of critical thought, to contribute to a greater understanding of the logics of capital, human mobility, dispossession, displacement, and regional integration.

This year, the National University of Chilecito (UNdeC) will host this important international gathering. In November 2023, over 150 academics from across the continent will arrive in La Rioja for a week to participate in the nineteenth International Congress on Regional Integration, Borders, and Globalization in the Americas. They will be joined by local and national social organizations, teachers, and students.
