10th Meeting of Higher Education Networks and Councils of Rectors of Latin America and the Caribbean
On November 22 and 23, convened by the 10th Meeting of Higher Education Networks and Rectors' Councils of Latin America and the Caribbean, university networks and rectors' councils from the region will meet to collectively reflect on the challenges posed by the necessary acceleration of the digital transformation of our universities. Participants include authorities and representatives from councils, national rectors' associations, and university networks active in the region, including CLACSO, represented by its Director of Research, Pablo Vommaro.
The X RedES Meeting, which is being held at the UNA facilities, based in the city of Asunción, Paraguay, focuses on one of the main opportunities for the transformation of higher education: digitization, whose impact is felt in all spheres of action of higher education institutions.
This regional meeting also serves as the third preparatory follow-up meeting to the Regional Conference on Higher Education (CRES+5), which will be held in Brasilia in March 2024. It is hoped that the Networks will enrich, with their reflections and proposals, the strengthening and development of regional higher education towards 2030.
