This event was the second webinar in the Latin American Collaborations RDA webinar series, focusing on open research data in Latin American countries. Successful examples of the design and implementation of research data repositories at universities in three different countries—Argentina, Brazil, and Chile—were shared.

  •  Claudia María Bauzer Medeiros ORCID: 0000-0003-1908-4753. Full Professor of Databases at the Institute of Computing of the University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. Her research focuses on scientific data management. She coordinates her university's research data repository and is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. She is a member of the RDA Council.Website
  • Fatima Nunes ORCID #: 0000-0003-0040-0752 She is a full professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Her research focuses on multimedia graphics and databases. She coordinates the USP's scientific research data repository and the USP's Institutional Research Office. https://lapis.each.usp.br/es/  
  • Rodrigo Donoso ORCID: 0000-0001-5635-4324 Director of Information Services and Libraries at the University of Chile. He coordinated the creation and implementation of the first research data repository (https://datos.uchile.cl/) in Chile, including all associated policies and training.
  • Paola Bongiovani ORCID: 0000-0003-0049-9086. She is in charge of the Open Access Management Unit, Open Access Committee of the National University of Rosario. She coordinates the new Academic Data Repository RDA-UNR, the UNR Journals Portal, and the RepHipUNR repository.
