Inequalities and poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean


On December 12 and 13, it took place in the Cuban Institute of Cultural Research (ICIC) Juan Marinello el VIII International Workshop on Culture and Inequalities. Theoretical and Methodological Aspects for the Study of Social Inequalities “Rodrigo Espina in memoriam”.

The event constituted a meeting of activities and dialogues that contributed, from the presentation, analysis and reflection of the various theoretical-methodological tools on the subject of inequalities, great debates that outlined lines of action to influence the design of social policies considering the different approaches and/or inequalities exposed: generational, socio-economic, racial, cultural, educational, food political.

The activities involved multiple participants who enriched, provided feedback on, and fostered new perspectives on the event's central theme. The speakers represented the following organizations:
