The Postgraduate Network of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), the Center for Advanced Studies on Childhood and Youth (CINDE/University of Manizales, Colombia), the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), the Ibero-American Network of Postgraduate Programs in Childhood and Youth (RedINJU), and the CLACSO Working Group “Childhoods, Youths: Political Practices and Cultures, Memories and Inequalities in the Contemporary Scenario,” with the support of OXFAM, invite advanced master's or doctoral students, public policy officials, and representatives of social organizations from Ibero-America and the Caribbean to submit their applications to participate in the VII International Postgraduate School “Latin American and Caribbean Childhoods and Youths: Violence, Stigmas, Migrations, and Resistances ,” which will be held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, within the framework of the XVI Meeting of the Postdoctoral Research Program in Social Sciences. Childhood and Youth and the XI Scientific Research Congress “Research, Science and Society: Challenges for public universities in the 21st Century” from August 7 to 11, 2017.
The Network of Postgraduate Programs in Childhood and Youth (RedINJU) is one of the thematic postgraduate networks promoted by CLACSO through its Postgraduate Network. Previous editions have primarily received support from the Center for Advanced University Studies of the OEI (CAEU/OEI), UNICEF (Bolivia), AECID, UNESCO, and the Ibero-American Youth Organization (OIJ), among others. The purpose of these thematic networks is to connect university postgraduate programs on common themes across various Ibero-American and Caribbean countries, in order to strengthen and enrich training in this area.
