In-person sessions: Just Transitions in Latin America

Latin America and the Caribbean, the most unequal region on the planet, has recently consolidated the trend towards increased wealth concentration, impoverishment, and vulnerability of entire populations to violence and phenomena associated with climate issues.
While a change in the energy and production matrix is necessary and urgent, a set of tensions and questions still persist regarding the modalities of the transition and the opportunities that arise from the need to carry it out incorporating criteria of equity and justice.
With the aim of positioning these debates in our region, we invite you to participate in the event Just transitions in Latin America, an exchange space focused on climate justice from an intersectional, intercultural and intergenerational perspective.
The event consists of two complementary working dynamics: public conferences and discussions led by specialists from across the region; and open and free workshops in which attendees are expected to delve deeper into some dimensions of the debate, through collective instances of dialogue and exchange.
