Plots and Networks No. 8
Issue No. 8 of Tramas y Redes , the open-access, biannual digital journal published by CLACSO, is now available. In anticipation of the 10th CLACSO Conference, “Horizons and Transformations for Equality,” held from June 9-12 in Bogotá, this issue addresses inequalities as a cross-cutting theme affecting Latin American and Caribbean societies, with a particular focus on the dramatic increase in the population living in poverty and the resulting human rights violations.
This edition comprises a thematic dossier on poverty and inequality in the context of Latin American socioeconomic policies in the 21st century, coordinated by Iliana Yaschine and Paula Boniolo; an interview by Verónica Béliveau with the Argentine sociologist Fortunato Mallimaci; and seven articles submitted through an open call. Additionally, the Archive section is dedicated to the recovery and analysis of documents from Casa de las Américas, a fundamental space for the expansion and consolidation of a Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity.
