Zero tolerance and rejection of sexual harassment
In light of the widely publicized events that have occurred at CES, which we have learned about in recent days, CLACSO reaffirms its position of zero tolerance and absolute rejection of sexual harassment and expresses solidarity with all those affected by this form of violence.
We also urge a deep reflection on sexual harassment in academic and research institutions, which are not immune to power relations that produce unequal relationships and generate violence and harassment.
While the ongoing investigations are underway, we have decided to suspend all of Boaventura de Sousa Santos' activities at CLACSO.
We reaffirm our commitment to promote and contribute to creating a more equal work environment free from all forms of violence and harassment.
