Honorary Doctorate awarded to Álvaro García Linera

On Monday, December 14, at the proposal of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the National University of Rosario (UNR), the title of Doctor Honoris Causa was awarded to Álvaro García Linera, former Vice President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The virtual meeting was coordinated by the Executive Secretary of CLACSO, Karina Batthyány.

"As Vice President of Bolivia, he led one of the most transformative political projects on the continent, characterized by an unprecedented economic takeoff, in which vast majorities, primarily indigenous, were included for the first time in a democratizing political and social model," declared Alejandro Vila, dean of the Rosario faculty.
