Disputed Territorialities and R-existences
Under capitalism, Latin America and the world have experienced a territorial reorganization that consolidates new/old forms of territorial coloniality. However, its impact is not only on/between human beings, but also on nature.
Despite its dynamics, the phenomenon also contains the seeds of collective organization and action, expressed in mobilization, resistance, rebellion, and the creation and recreation of alternatives from within local communities. In this sense, socio-territorial and ethno-territorial reconstructions are generated, and/or old/new territorialities are activated.
In response to this, the CLACSO Working Group on Territorialities in Dispute and R-existences presents itself as a space for imagination and dialogue among different forms of knowledge. Its objective is to bring together researchers and social scientists from diverse disciplines, approaches, and countries who conduct research, discussion, reflection, and/or support for movements, individuals, and territorial experiences of resistance and defense of life and the commons. The Working Group seeks to be a collective and a space for contributions from diverse perspectives, to think and rethink complexity beyond dichotomies such as subject/object, theoretical/empirical, rural/urban, and society/nature, among others.
