Solidarity with the people of Bolivia

El Steering Committee of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) It stands in solidarity with the people of Bolivia who are demonstrating in the streets defending a dignified life.

It calls for the restoration of the plurinational state and respect for the rights of the Bolivian people who are mobilized in defense of their rights won and enshrined in the Constitution in 2009.

It condemns the criminalization of protest, the processes of proscribing the rights of the people, and the acts of violence that are being carried out as a result of the deployment of the repressive forces of the State.

It joins the voices calling for the release of those detained, an end to repression, respect for the right to protest, freedom of expression, and the restoration of the constitutional guarantees of the Bolivian people.
