Sociology Facing the Colombian Pacific

The Congress «Sociology Facing the Colombian Pacific«, which was to take place on Cascajal Island in Buenaventura, Colombia, on September 24, 25 and 26, had to be suspended due to acts of violence that prevented its realization.
Organized by the Sociology Program and the Research Directorate of the Universidad del Pacífico, and with the support of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), the Latin American Sociological Association (ALAS) and the Colombian Network of Faculties and Departments of Sociology (RECFADES), the meeting was intended to be a space for academic reflection on science, technology and innovation from our region within the framework of the “PRE ALAS Brazil 2026”.
Among others, the Rector was scheduled Ruth Sánchez Perea Harold, the Academic Director Moreno Holguín and the Director of Research Luis Carlos Pardo. Also, Jesus Gorky Murillo, Director of the Sociology Program; Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO; Jesus Diaz, President of ALAS; Breno Bringel, Vice President of ALAS Brazil; and Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO.
