Health systems in Latin America: challenges and perspectives

On Thursday, May 7, in virtual format, starting at 19:00 PM in Argentina and most of Brazil (UTC-3), the webinar “Health systems in Latin America: challenges and perspectives”, a meeting that will mark the establishment of the CLACSO Working Group “Social Studies for Health”, conceived as a space for dialogue and exchange on the contemporary challenges of the sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In this opportunity, Pablo VommaroThe Executive Director of CLACSO will welcome the Working Group and share reflections on the importance of health for democracy in the region. Following this, Professor Cristiani Machado, researcher from the Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública Sergio Arouca-ENSP, will present the topic “Health Systems in Latin America: challenges and perspectives”, offering a reflection on the main challenges, trends and possibilities for strengthening health systems in the region.
