Care and support systems in poverty eradication and social justice agendas in Latin America and the Caribbean

UNRISD, the Government of Chile, IDRC, GRADE, CLACSO and ELA, with the collaboration of the Global Care Alliance, organized the virtual seminar “Beyond normative commitments: Care and support systems in the agendas for poverty eradication and social justice in Latin America and the Caribbean"on Wednesday, February 4, which included the participation of Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO.

This side event was held within the framework of the 64th session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD64). In a context marked by persistent poverty and gender inequality, care systems have moved from being normative commitments to being central pillars of social development.
