“Silences that scream in school”
CLACSO and the National University of San Martín presented the book “Silences that scream in schools: devices, urban space, and inequalities"Tuesday, September 27th."
He coordinated Eduardo Langer (LICH/CONICET, EH-UNSAM) and participated Mario Pecheny (CONICET- Vice President of Scientific Affairs), Nicholas Arata (CLACSO/UBA), Miriam Abalsamo (Teacher in the provincial education system of Buenos Aires and co-author of the book) and Silvia Grinberg (LICH/CONICET, EH-UNSAM).
The writings in this volume represent an effort to organize the ideas that arose in the heat of years of research, to narrate our experience of being and working with schools, neighbors, teachers, and students. It is a collective narrative that holds deep affections and impacts on those of us who inhabit our research, where, after nearly two decades in the school and the neighborhood, what happens becomes embodied and lived daily. This book recounts those dialogues, encounters, and emotions that resonate within us, with profound hopes that sensibilities will continue to clash, that stubbornness will erupt, that events will surprise us, and that they will welcome the political voices of the people—those who are the ones who conduct research. It is these hopes and these discreet and indiscreet struggles of daily life in schools, of teachers and students, that move and inspire us here.
