From August 4 to 7, the University City of the National Autonomous University of Honduras, in Tegucigalpa, is the venue for the XIX Central American Congress of Sociology (ACAS 2025) where CLACSO organizes the Forum “Knowledge, alternatives and challenges in the face of inequalities and the climate crisis in Central America”, which has various activities aimed at enriching the regional debate.

Colombian judge Sandra Heredia sentenced former president Álvaro Uribe Vélez to 12 years of house arrest. The former president was found guilty of procedural fraud and witness tampering. -CLACSO signs agreement with the YMCA of the Argentine Republic
On July 30, CLACSO signed an agreement with the YMCA of Argentina for joint activities and initiatives based on the shared commitment of both organizations to upholding and promoting the value of solidarity. The agreement was signed by YMCA Secretary General Mario Hugo Cenci and CLACSO Executive Director Pablo Vommaro.
