Knowledge Mobilization: IberCultura Viva Week – CLACSO

IberCultura Viva and CLACSO are organizing a week of work to reflect on community archives that safeguard and circulate the individual and collective memories of our societies.

The pandemic disrupted the dynamics, organizational structures, and work processes of archives, museums, and community libraries. In response, these communities developed strategies to safeguard, highlight, and reclaim the memories of marginalized social groups.

Through dialogues, discussions, open classes and presentations of experiences from community organizations in Latin America, we will address the links that are woven between museums, communities and life stories; the ways in which cultural heritage can be thought about in terms of community development, and the articulations between the community and its living memories.
