Assembly to reform the Statute is postponed

Dear colleagues,

The purpose of this communication is to inform you of some changes to the CLACSO agenda for the current year.

Analyzing the current situation generated by the coronavirus pandemic, which limits all movements and makes it impossible to hold face-to-face meetings – even more so those that require travel between countries –, at its 101st meeting held virtually on May 4 and 5, 2020, the CLACSO Steering Committee resolved to postpone the Extraordinary Assembly for updating the CLACSO Statute scheduled for this year in Bogotá, and to convene it in conjunction with the General Assembly of the Council in June 2022 in Mexico City.

We are all witnesses to how the pandemic has disrupted our daily lives, forcing us to adapt to new and necessary ways of working. At CLACSO, this generally requires greater effort and dedication than in the days of in-person work. We will keep you informed of the new schedule as the pandemic evolves.
