Saving lives and guaranteeing the rights of the black population
National Coordination of Black Entities1
With various positions and statements, I propose solutions and alternatives to confront the serious moment that we are experiencing in Brazil and in the world.
One of the most important is the “Emergency Platform for the confrontation of the Coronavirus pandemic and the Brazilian crisis”, built by the Brazilian Popular and People's Fronts, political parties of the democratic and popular field, union centers, popular and student movements, democratic organizations of Brazilian society, for their density of purpose, politics and unitary construction.
Apart from its emergency and specific character – or combat against Coronavirus – this broad Platform or debate on the need for a project in conditions of promoting, in fact, structural reforms and the transformations necessary in society and in the life of Brazilians and Brazilians.
A CONEN – National Coordination of Black Entities, contributes to the elaboration and development of this Platform. Meanwhile, with this document, please pay attention to the signatories of the Platform that the main issues affecting Brazil are Coronavirus and its economic consequences.
To CONNECT the Brazilian black movement, despite our recent advances and conquests, which the Bolsonaro government is trying to destroy, we continue to live in a country where racial, regional, class, gender and generational inequalities are still immense. Or Brazil continues to be a very unequal country!
